The Netherlands chooses Naval Group for the build of four submarines

We extend our congratulations to Naval Group with the award of this contract.

As Dutch shipbuilder Royal IHC, we are proud to contribute to this strategic project, together with broad participation from the Dutch industry. 

Naval Group chose to work with Royal IHC because of our specific and proven knowledge of underwater technology and decades of experience in building complex vessels. Since 2018, IHC Defence team could grow its knowledge on submarine technologies and integration, and benefit from operational expertise in-house.

We also congratulate all those Dutch companies that may contribute to this strategic project for the Netherlands and welcome this choice for the Dutch maritime ecosystem.

The choice is good for the preservation and further development of Dutch knowledge, employment and economy. Due to the highly confidential nature of this project, the exact contribution cannot be disclosed.
